About the EMU Graduate Scholarships

Are you aiming to pursue a Master’s or PhD degree in Turkey? The Eastern Mediterranean University (EMU) Graduate Scholarship for the 2025–2026 academic year offers partially funded opportunities for both Turkish and international students in all academic fields.

These scholarships are designed to reduce financial barriers and attract talented students from around the world to join EMU’s vibrant academic community. Scholarships are awarded based on academic excellence and departmental evaluation and are available for new students only in graduate programs.

Tuition Fee Coverage and Financial Benefits

• Turkish Students:
  • Master’s & PhD: Eligible for 100% and 50% tuition fee scholarships
• International Students:
  • Master’s: 50% tuition fee scholarship
  • PhD: 100% and 50% tuition fee scholarships
• Category ‘E’ Research Assistant Positions:

  • Students awarded a 100% scholarship may also work as research assistants (minimum 6 hours/week).

Eligibility Criteria for Master’s and PhD Programs

For International & TR National PhD Candidates:

• Bachelor’s CGPA ≥ 3.00/4.00
• OR Bachelor’s CGPA between 2.75–2.99/4.00 +
• • ALES ≥ 65 (for Turkish citizens)
  • Master’s CGPA ≥ 3.50/4.00

For TR National Master’s Candidates:

• Bachelor’s CGPA ≥ 3.00/4.00
• OR Bachelor’s CGPA between 2.75–2.99/4.00 +
• • ALES ≥ 65 for thesis programs
  • ALES ≥ 65 (any type) for non-thesis programs

General Rules:

• Scholarships are only for first-time enrollees in the program
• Students who have previously enrolled, terminated, or been dismissed cannot reapply
• Visiting or special status students are not eligible
• Departmental ranking and assessment beyond CGPA will determine awards
• Candidates must register by the deadline or risk losing the scholarship to second-list applicants
• Second-list candidates facing valid delays (e.g., visa issues) may request extensions

• Reapplication for the same program level will result in scholarship cancellation
