Seoul National University (SNU) Undergraduate Scholarships

Seoul National University (SNU), one of South Korea’s leading universities, is offering a range of undergraduate scholarships for international students for the 2027 academic year. These scholarships are available before and after admission and provide financial support covering tuition fees, living expenses, airfare, health insurance, and other benefits.

Global Korea Scholarship (GKS) for Self-Financed Students

This scholarship is available for self-funded international students enrolled in their second, third, or fourth year.

  • Financial support for approximately 12 months

Korean War Memorial Foundation Scholarship

This scholarship is awarded to descendants of foreign veterans who participated in the Korean War.

  • Full tuition waiver
  • Dormitory fee support
  • Monthly living allowance of KRW 500,000

Eligibility Criteria:

Applicants must meet the eligibility requirements of their selected scholarship.

  •  International students are eligible to apply for the Global Korea Scholarship (GKS).
  • Overseas Korean students may apply for the Overseas Koreans Scholarship.
  • Applicants from developing countries listed on the DAC List of ODA Recipients are eligible for the Glo-Harmony Scholarship.
  • Self-financed international students in their second, third, or fourth year with a minimum GPA of 80 out of 100 are eligible for the GKS for Self-Financed Students.
  • Descendants of foreign Korean War veterans are eligible for the Korean War Memorial Foundation Scholarship.
