Eligibility Criteria

• Must not be an Australian or New Zealand citizen and must not be an Australian permanent resident
• Must be onshore in Australia at the time of application
• Must intend to reside in Sydney for the full candidature
• Must plan to start the Master of Research in January 2027 (Session 1 2027)
• Must enroll as a full-time student
• Must meet Macquarie’s admission criteria for the Master of Research (Schedule 2.3)
• Must meet Macquarie’s English language requirement for graduate research degrees by the closing date (Macquarie does not publish specific IELTS, TOEFL, PTE, or Duolingo score thresholds on this scholarship page, so no test scores are listed here; check the university’s general English language policy directly)
• Must have confirmed supervision from an eligible Macquarie researcher (compulsory for the Faculty of Medicine, Health and Human Sciences; desirable for other faculties)
