Opportunity Brief Description:
Application is now open for women who want to apply for the MSCFP fellowship program. The IAEA Marie Sklodowska-Curie Fellowship Programme (MSCFP) seeks to inspire and support young women. Those who want to pursue a career in the nuclear field.
To that end, the MSCFP provides scholarships to selected students studying toward a Master’s degree in nuclear-related subjects. Also, internship opportunities are facilitated by IAEA.
About the MSCFP Program:
The MSCFP program is designed to increase the representation of women in the nuclear industry by supporting a diverse workforce of both men and women who contribute to global scientific and technological innovation.
This program, named after renowned physicist and Nobel Prize winner Marie Sklodowska-Curie, aims to inspire and motivate young women to pursue a career in the nuclear field. It offers scholarships for Master’s programs and internships facilitated by the IAEA to highly motivated female students.
Successful applicants receive financial support for their Master’s studies in nuclear-related fields at accredited universities. They also have the opportunity to pursue an internship with the IAEA for up to one year.

Eligibility criteria & Qualification:
applicants must have the following criteria:
- Women applicants (Female)
- Enrolled in an accredited university
- IAEA Member
- Pursuing a Master’s program in a nuclear-related field
- Strong academic credentials (above 75% or GPA > 3.0 out of 4.0)
Benefit IAEA Marie Sklodowska-Curie Fellowship :
- The student will receive up to €20,000 for tuition Costs
- Up to €20,000 for living costs for living costs for the Master’s programme.
Selection Process:
1. The IAEA MSCFP Technical Selection Committee evaluates applications.
2. The committee assesses applications against MSCFP selection criteria.
3. Criteria include eligibility, academic background, accomplishments, motivation, and impact on career goals and dedication to public service.
4. Consideration is given to diversity in terms of location, field of study, and language.
5. All applicants will receive an email notification regarding the decision.

- Copy of the Passport/National ID
- Official acceptance/admission letter from university into the Master’s programme indicating the nuclear related field of study and duration of the programme
- Statement of tuition fees/confirmation of tuition costs
- Completed reference forms sent directly to MSCFP@iaea.org by TWO referees (download the form here).
