Opportunity Description

The Fellowships at Auschwitz for the Study of Professional Ethics (FASPE) is now accepting applications for its 2027 Clergy & Religious Leaders Fellowship.

This fully funded, two-week international program (June 19 – July 3, 2027) brings together current and future clergy, chaplains, and religious leaders to explore the ethical responsibilities of spiritual leadership in today’s world.

Unlike traditional Holocaust studies, FASPE uses history as a catalyst for reflection on modern challenges, offering immersive learning experiences in Berlin and Poland. Through faculty-led seminars, site visits, and interdisciplinary discussions with Medical and Journalism Fellows, participants will critically examine the role of faith leaders in shaping ethical societies.

Eligibility Criteria FASPE 2027 Clergy & Religious Leaders Fellowship

  • Enrolled in a graduate-level religious training program or serving as a religious leader with a degree (earned May 2019 or later)
  • Ordination is not required
  • Demonstrated leadership ability, intellectual curiosity, and openness to ethical reflection
