Code to Inspire: Free Technology Courses for Afghan Girls and Women

Code to Inspire is the first advanced coding and technology school for Afghan girls and women. Founded in 2015, it provides free, practical education in coding, design, and digital skills to help students build careers and achieve financial independence.

Over 1,420 students have graduated, and many now earn income through remote work, freelancing, and professional opportunities.

About Code to Inspire

Code to Inspire was founded by Fereshteh Forough with a clear mission: to empower Afghan girls through technology education. The organization offers a safe learning environment and focuses on practical skills that lead to real job opportunities and income.

By learning these skills, students can work remotely, freelance, or join professional teams — creating better futures for themselves and their families.

Available Courses

If you are interested in learning technology and design skills, you can choose one of the following free courses:

1. Website Development with WordPress — 6 months
   Learn WordPress, Elementor, WooCommerce, responsive design, security, SEO, and AI tools.
2. Mobile App Development with Flutter — 7 months
   Learn Dart, Flutter, UI design, APIs, Firebase, Git & GitHub, and build a complete mobile application.
3. Graphic Design — 7 months
   Learn Photoshop, Illustrator, Canva, Figma, poster design, branding, and social media content creation.
4. Python Programming & Data Analysis — 10 months
   Learn Python, Pandas, NumPy, statistics, data cleaning, analysis, and data visualization.
5. UI/UX Design — 6 months
   Learn user research, wireframing, Figma, responsive design, prototyping, and user experience design.
6. Game Development with Unity — 1 year
   Learn Unity 6, C#, 2D & 3D game design, animation, physics, and build portfolio projects.

Note: Most courses do not require previous specialized knowledge. However, basic computer skills and English language ability are needed.
