Planning to study a bachelor’s degree in Oman without paying tuition fees? The GUtech Undergraduate Excellence Full Scholarship, offered by the German University of Technology in Oman (GUtech) in Halban, Muscat, covers 100% of tuition fees for the entire duration of an undergraduate program (4 years, 8 semesters). It is open to high-achieving high school students of all nationalities applying for Winter Semester 2026 entry. GUtech is offering ten (10) of these scholarships this cycle. Note: this award covers tuition only, not accommodation, stipend, or living costs.

Eligibility Criteria

• Must be a new applicant to a GUtech undergraduate program (not a current or returning student)
• Must have scored at least 95% in the overall grade 12 certificate, or the equivalent:
  • GED: 95% or higher
  • IB: minimum 37 points, including one Higher Level (HL) subject scored at 7
  • A-Level: two A* grades
  • CBSE: 95% or higher
• Must qualify for direct admission to a GUtech Bachelor’s program
• Must have already applied online for admission through GUtech’s application system (an application ID is required to apply for the scholarship)
• Must be a self-funded applicant and not already receiving another scholarship
• Once awarded, recipients are expected to maintain a GPA of 3.0/4.0 or higher throughout their studies at GUtech

Language Requirements

GUtech’s general admission requirements for direct entry to bachelor’s programs require English proficiency proof through one of:

• IELTS Academic: 6.0 or higher
• TOEFL iBT: 76 or higher overall

How to Apply?

Applying for the GUtech Undergraduate Excellence Full Scholarship is a four-step process:

• Apply for admission first. Submit your undergraduate application through GUtech’s EduWave portal.
• Record your application number. You will need this to apply for the scholarship.
• Prepare four short essays, each a minimum of 300 words, answering GUtech’s published prompts (why you deserve the scholarship, your extracurricular involvement, how the scholarship helps your goals, and your intended contribution to GUtech).
