Opportunities
DAAD Master’s Scholarships in Germany are now open for applications and will continue until the ‘end of August‘. These fully funded opportunities are available for international students from various countries (including Afghanistan) and cover “Master’s degree programs in all academic fields”.
Program Overview:
Offered by the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD), this scholarship provides outstanding students with the chance to pursue a Master’s degree at a recognized German university. Fields of study are open to all disciplines.
Who Can Apply?
- Graduates with a Bachelor’s degree (not older than six years)
- Applicants from all academic backgrounds
- English or German language proficiency (depending on program)
Required Documents DAAD Master’s Scholarships in Germany:
To apply, you will need the following:
- Online Application Form (via the DAAD portal)
- Curriculum Vitae (CV) or Resume
- Motivation Letter: outlining your academic background, goals, and reasons for choosing the program in Germany
- University Admission Letter: optional at the time of application, but highly recommended if available
- Academic Transcripts and Diploma: include official clarification from your university if grading system is not clear
- English Language Proficiency Certificate: minimum IELTS 6.5 or TOEFL iBT 79
- Copy of National ID or Passport
- Additional Certificates: any relevant training, volunteer work, internships, etc. (optional)
- Recommendation Letter(s): from academic or professional references (upload directly via the DAAD portal)

Important Notes:
- Your last degree must not be more than “6 years old” at the time of application.
- Applications are submitted “online” through the official DAAD platform.
- The motivation letter is a key part of the application – make sure it’s clear and specific.
- If you do not have admission yet, you can still apply. However, securing admission early “increases your chances” of selection.
