Applications are now open for the Yenching Academy of Peking University 2026 International Scholarships in China. This fully funded program welcomes outstanding international students from all disciplines who wish to pursue a Master’s degree in the interdisciplinary study of China.
The Yenching Academy aims to develop global leaders with a deep understanding of China’s role in the world and to encourage cultural exchange between China and the international community. Each year, nearly 120 scholarships are awarded to students from different parts of the world, offering them the opportunity to study at one of Asia’s most prestigious universities — Peking University in Beijing.
Scholars will experience an academically rich environment, receive full financial support, and engage in interdisciplinary research combining humanities, law, economics, social sciences, and global studies.

Scholarship Benefits
Selected scholars will receive a fully funded scholarship that covers all major expenses, including:
- Full tuition fee
- Free on-campus accommodation

Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must meet the following requirements:

Hold a Bachelor’s degree (or be on track to graduate by August 31, 2025)

Have a strong academic record and leadership potential

Demonstrate a genuine interest in interdisciplinary studies of China

Show evidence of community involvement, extracurricular achievements, and social responsibility

Provide proof of English language proficiency
Accepted English Tests and Minimum Scores:
IELTS (Academic): 7.0 overall
TOEFL iBT: 100 overall
Cambridge English Advanced: 185
CEFR: Level C1
CET 6: 600
TEM 4: Pass level “良好” or above
Note: Native English speakers or applicants whose previous degree was entirely taught in English are not required to submit test scores.
English test results must be issued after September 1, 2024. Home Edition or MyBest Scores are not accepted.

Selection Process
Applications will be evaluated based on academic excellence, leadership qualities, motivation for studying China, and personal achievements.
Final results for international applicants are expected around April 2026.

- Students from partner universities must first apply through their university’s internal nomination process before submitting an application to Yenching Academy.
