UK Chevening Scholarships are prestigious, fully-funded awards offered by the UK government and Foreign and Commonwealth Office (FCO), to outstanding individuals from around the world. They are designed to support postgraduate study at any UK university and cover tuition fees, living expenses, travel costs, and other associated expenses. The scholarships are awarded to individuals who demonstrate leadership potential and academic excellence, as well as a strong commitment to their home country. Chevening Scholars become part of a global network of influential alumni who work in a variety of fields.

What is included?
As Chevening Scholarships are fully-funded, your award includes the following:
- university tuition fees
- a monthly stipend
- travel costs to and from the UK
- an arrival allowance
- a homeward departure allowance
- the cost of one visa application
- a travel grant to attend Chevening events in the UK

What matters is your ability to submit a thoughtful application that demonstrates you are capable of excelling on an intense master’s course in the UK, and that you have a clear vision for your future.
 Chevening scholarship Eligibility:
- Citizen of the Chevening-eligible country (Afghans, resident outside of Afghanistan, Can apply for a Chevening Scholarship or Fellowship to study in the UK.)

- Must return to your home country
- Have completed all components of an undergraduate degree that will enable you to gain entry onto a postgraduate program at a UK university by the time you submit your application. This is typically equivalent to an upper second-class 2:1 honors degree in the UK but may be different depending on your course and university choice.
- Have at least two years work experience. (Equivalent to 2,800 hours)
- Receiving be applying to three UK university courses.

- Paid or unpaid internships
Level/Field(s) of study:
One year full-time taught Master’s Degree Program in any subject. Use the course finder to find eligible master’s degrees at every university across the UK.

Chevening Scholarship Requirements Â
- Scan of Your valid Passport
- Three University Courses you have applied to
- Academic Transcripts and diplomas
- Contact details of two referees
Note: Having references is crucial in the Chevening selection process. You need to provide the names of two referees when you submit your application. If you move on to the next stage, you must upload two reference letters through the online application system before the deadline. It’s important to note that Chevening won’t contact your referees to complete or upload references. It’s your responsibility to obtain and upload the references on their behalf.
