This flagship scholarship ensures that exceptional young leaders from every country- especially those often under-represented at global forums – can participate, network, and amplify their impact.
About the One Young World Summit 2026
The One Young World Summit 2026 will take place in Cape Town, South Africa from 3 to 6 November 2026. It brings together thousands of young leaders, CEOs, heads of state, and changemakers from 196 countries to collaborate on solutions for a fairer and more sustainable world.
Key Dates
- Applications Open: 11 June 2026
- Application Deadline: 31 October 2026
- Selection Process: Rolling – applications are reviewed and scholars selected on a continuous basis between June and October 2026
- Summit Dates: 3–6 November 2026 in Cape Town, South Africa
What Does the Leading Scholarship Cover?
Each selected scholar receives a comprehensive package that includes:
- Full delegate access to the One Young World Summit in Cape Town
- Hotel accommodation between 2 and 6 November 2026
- All meals (breakfast, lunch, and dinner)
- Round-trip travel costs to and from Cape Town (flights must depart from and return to the same airport)
Note: Visa application fees and related costs are the responsibility of the scholar.

Eligibility Criteria
You are eligible for the Leading Scholarship 2026 if you:
- Are between the ages of 18 and 35 (applicants under 18 at the time of the Summit cannot apply)
- Have a proven commitment to delivering positive change
- Are actively addressing key local and/or global issues through your work
- Have a track record of generating impactful and innovative ideas
Priority is given to applicants from countries that have been less represented at previous Summits and to first-time Summit attendees (not current One Young World Ambassadors).
