Mundus MAPP; Applications are now open for the 2026–2028 cohort of the Erasmus Mundus Master’s Program in Public Policy (Mundus MAPP). This elite, fully funded, two-year joint master’s degree is offered by a consortium of four prestigious European universities: Central European University (CEU, Austria), International Institute of Social Studies (ISS, The Netherlands), Institute Barcelona studies Internationals (IBEI, Spain), and the University of York (UK).

Scholarship Benefits
- Full tuition waiver for Erasmus Mundus (EMJM) scholarship recipients.
- Monthly stipend of €1,400 for 24 months (maximum total: approx. €33,600) to support living, visa, travel, and installation costs.
- Health insurance for the full duration of the study period, plus two weeks before and two months after.
- Additional support available for students with individual needs (e.g., disability).
- Institutional scholarships: 50% tuition waiver (one per track), though these do not include a stipend.
- Not covered by EMJM: study visit (approx. €600–€1,000), winter school (approx. €600–€1,000), and travel/visa between host countries and home country.
Eligibility Criteria
To apply for Mundus MAPP, candidates must meet the following:
- Educational Background
- A bachelor’s degree (typically at least three years of undergraduate study) is required.
- For the CEU tracks (CEU–IBEI or CEU–York): relevant fields include social sciences, political science, international relations, economics, administration, or related disciplines.
- In certain cases, other backgrounds may be accepted if combined with at least six months of professional or research experience.
- Language Proficiency
- English proficiency is required (typically proven via standard tests like TOEFL, IELTS, or equivalents).
- Application to Tracks
- Applicants must select exactly one mobility track in their application. The four options are: CEU–IBEI, CEU–York, ISS–IBEI, or ISS–York. (DML)
- Merit-Based Selection
- Scholarships are awarded on the basis of academic excellence and motivation.
Required Documents
When applying through the CEU Private University portal, candidates must submit:
- Completed online application form.
- Academic transcripts and bachelor’s degree certificate(s).
- Curriculum Vitae (CV) / résumé.
- Statement of Purpose / motivation letter.
- Two (or more) letters of recommendation.
- Proof of English language proficiency.
- Copy of valid passport or national ID.
Application Procedure
- Go to the CEU application portal: All applications must be submitted via the CEU Private University systemю
- Complete the online application form and upload all required documents listed above.
- Indicate scholarship interest: In the application form, you can indicate whether you wish to be considered for the Erasmus Mundus (EMJM) scholarship
- Pay application fee (if applicable): There is no CEU application fee unless you are applying also to other CEU programs.
- Submit by relevant deadline:
- December 10, 2025 — for those applying for financial aid / scholarships
- April 15, 2026 — for non‑EU/EEA self-funded applicants
- July 1, 2026 — for EU/EEA self-funded applicants
- Decision and appeal:
- First-round decisions (including EMJM scholarship offers) expected by April 14, 2026.
- Deadline for appeals: April 20, 2026.
- Final submission of academic records: All admitted students must submit official academic records by July 31, 2026.
