Requirements for Undergraduate Degree:

To be eligible for the King Abdulaziz Scholarship at the undergraduate or bachelor’s level, applicants must meet the following criteria:

• Good conduct: Students should have a record of good behavior.
• Commitment: Students must fully adhere to the rules and regulations of King Abdulaziz University (KAU).
• Health: Applicants should be in good physical and mental health.
• Education: Students must possess a secondary school graduation certificate or its equivalent from within Saudi Arabia or abroad.
• Full-time study: Regular students are required to enroll in a full-time study program.
• Timeliness: The secondary school certificate should not be older than three years.
• Age: Applicants should be between 17 and 25 years old for the undergraduate level.
• Academic history: Applicants should not have been dismissed from any university for any reason.
• Scholarship status: Applicants should not currently be recipients of a scholarship from a Saudi university.
• Female students: Female applicants should be accompanied by a relative who is not within the prohibited degrees of relationship, and who holds a regular residency.
• Admissibility: Students should meet the admission requirements set by the university.

Eligibility for Master’s and Ph.D. Programs:

To be eligible for the King Abdulaziz Scholarships at the Master’s and Ph.D. levels, students must meet the following requirements:

•  Age Limit: Applicants must not exceed the age of 30 for the Master’s program and 35 for the Ph.D. program.
• Academic Qualification: Students should hold a recognized qualification from their own country, with a minimum grade of “excellent” if their final degree classification is based on an estimation.
• English Language Proficiency: Applicants must provide a valid English language test certificate.
• Recommendation Letters: Students are required to submit two recommendation letters from their previous faculty members.
• Dismissal Record: Applicants should not have been dismissed from any Saudi institutions.
• Program-Specific Requirements: Candidates applying for programs such as Arabic Language and Literature, Psychology, Islamic Law and Studies, Sociology, and Information Science must have a proficient command of spoken and written Arabic.
