Documents Required
Applicants must prepare and upload the following documents when applying online:
- CSC Application Form (first page only)
- Passport copy (photo page)
- Final degree transcript (notarized)
- Final degree certificate (notarized)
- English Language Certificate (IELTS/TOEFL optional; English proficiency letter accepted)
- Family financial statement
- Research proposal or study plan
- Two recommendation letters
- Non-criminal record certificate
- Foreigner Physical Examination Form
Eligibility Criteria
To qualify for the Jiangsu University CSC Scholarship, applicants must:
- Be non-Chinese citizens in good health.
- Hold a Bachelor’s degree (for Master’s programs) or a Master’s degree (for PhD programs).
- Age limits:
- Master’s applicants: under 40 years old
- PhD applicants: under 45 years old
- English-taught program applicants must have IELTS ≥5.5 or TOEFL ≥80 (or proof of English-medium studies).
Application Through Two Routes
- Category A (Via Chinese Embassy/Consulate):
Apply through your local Chinese embassy. You must first be nominated by the embassy before contacting Jiangsu University. - Category B (Direct Application to Jiangsu University):
Apply directly through the university’s online system and then through the CSC portal with Agency Number 10299.
Important Notes
- No GPA requirement — academic performance and research potential are evaluated holistically.
- IELTS/TOEFL are optional; an English proficiency letter is accepted.
- Applicants can still be considered for the JSU Presidential Scholarship if they don’t receive the CSC award.
- PhD students may also receive additional funding from Jiangsu University.
- Scholarship recipients will be notified between May–July 2026.
Application Deadline
The deadline to apply for the Jiangsu University CSC Scholarship 2026 is January 1, 2026.
- Late or incomplete applications will not be considered.

Submit your application on the official Jiangsu University Admission System: Upload all the required notarized documents.
Step 2 – Apply on CSC Portal
Register and complete your application at the official CSC website:
