If yes, here’s your chance! The American University of Afghanistan (AUAF) is now accepting applications for undergraduate programs for the Fall 2026 – Spring 2027 academic year.
Application Period:
- October 19, 2025 – October 20, 2025 (9:00 AM Kabul Time)
Selected candidates will be contacted between November 2025 and August 2026 via email. - No late applications will be accepted.

Fields of Study
AUAF currently offers four undergraduate majors:
Information Technology
- Bachelor of Science in Information Technology (IT) — Gain the skills needed for professional careers in IT, business, and management.
Includes courses in databases, networking, programming, human-computer interaction, and cloud computing. - Bachelor of Science in Cyber Security — Learn both the theoretical and practical aspects of cybersecurity, including digital forensics, network defense, and ethical hacking.
- Bachelor of Data Science — A strong foundation in programming, statistics, and mathematics. Students work on real projects to develop hands-on experience in data analysis.
Law
- Bachelor of Law (LL.B) — Provides students with an understanding of Afghan and international law.
Focuses on legal writing, comparative law, and critical thinking to prepare future lawyers and policymakers.
Political Science & Public Administration
- Bachelor of Science in Political Science and Public Administration — Explore international relations, comparative politics, and public policy.
Students learn research methodologies and gain insights into governance and Afghan political systems.
Business Administration
- Bachelor of Science in Business Administration (BBA) — Choose from concentrations in Accounting, Finance, Management, or Marketing.
Develop entrepreneurial skills, sustainability awareness, and strong analytical and communication abilities.
Note: The Master of Business Administration (MBA) program application period was from October 13–15, 2025.
Scholarship Information
AUAF provides two main scholarship types:
- AUAF-Funded Scholarships (AFS)
- Externally Funded Scholarships (EFS) — Supported by external donors and international organizations.
Tuition Fees (Before Scholarships):
- Annual tuition fee: AFN 466,500
- Per semester: AFN 233,250
- Per credit hour: AFN 15,550 / AFN 12,500
- Student General Charges: Included
- MBA Application fee: AFN 2,250
- Duolingo Test fee: AFN 1,700
- Duplicate Diploma: AFN 7,500
- Graduation fee: AFN 6,500
- Official Transcript: AFN 500
Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must meet all of the following:
- Be an Afghan citizen
- Be a high school graduate
- Have good English proficiency (TOEFL, IELTS, or Duolingo preferred)
- Must not have any financial liability with AUAF
- Be admitted as a degree-seeking student (undergraduate or MBA)
- Make satisfactory academic progress (at least 9 credits per semester)
- Not be currently receiving another AUAF scholarship
- Hold a valid Tazkira (Afghan ID)
- Submit all required documents (listed below)

- Copy of Tazkira or Passport
- TOEFL / IELTS / Duolingo results (if available)
- Completed online application form
How to Apply
- Visit the AUAF official website and click the “Apply Now” button.
- Complete the online application form between October 19–20, 2025.
- Late or incomplete applications will not be accepted.
- If selected, you will receive an email invitation for an interview between January–August 2026.
- Final admission decisions will be announced in August 2026.
