Opportunity Brief Description:
The Eiffel Excellence Scholarship Program was created by the French Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs with the aim of facilitating the enrollment of outstanding international students in master’s and PhD programs offered by French higher education institutions.
This program provides a platform for future leaders and influencers from both the public and private sectors, with a particular focus on priority fields of study. It specifically encourages applications from individuals under the age of 25 from developing countries for master’s level programs, and individuals under the age of 30 from both developing and industrialized countries for PhD level programs.

Study Levels & Duration:
Master’s Program:
- Master 2: The program has a duration of 12 months.
- Master 1: The program has a duration of 24 months.
- The maximum duration required to complete an engineering degree is 36 months.
Doctoral Program:
- The program has a duration of up to 18 months.
Benefits:
Master’s Program:
Eiffel scholarship recipients at the Master’s level receive a monthly stipend of €1,181. They also have access to additional services such as international and domestic transportation, insurance, assistance with finding accommodation, participation in cultural events, and more.
Doctoral Program:
Eiffel scholarship awardees at the Doctoral level receive a monthly stipend of €1,700. They also have access to additional services including international and domestic travel support, insurance coverage, assistance with finding accommodation, participation in cultural events, and more.
Note: It is important to note that the Eiffel program does not cover tuition fees for either the Master’s or Doctoral programs.

Eligibility Criteria:
To be eligible for the Eiffel Excellence Scholarships Program offered by the French government, applicants must meet the following requirements:
- Nationality: Only individuals who do not hold French citizenship are eligible for this program. If an applicant has dual citizenship and one of them is French, they are not qualified.
- Age Limit:
- For the Master’s program, applicants must be 25 years old or younger at the start of the 2024 application cycle.
- For the PhD program, the minimum age requirement is 30 years old.
Language Proficiency: Applicants must meet the language proficiency requirements specified for the chosen course of study.
How to Apply for the Eiffel Excellence Scholarship?

- To learn about the application procedures and submission deadlines, reach out to the foreign relations department of a French university. You can contact them through their website, by phone, or via email.
- Select the institution or university that aligns with your study objectives in France. Any French higher education institution is eligible to submit an application on your behalf.
- Once you have chosen an institution, submit your application for the Eiffel Scholarship to them.
- The institution will then electronically submit your application through the dedicated Campus France website.
