Job Description
GCUB-Mob First Phase Results Announced: 13 Afghan Applicants Advance to the Second Stage
The International Cooperation Group of Brazilian Universities (GCUB) has released the results of the First Phase of the Fifth Edition of the GCUB International Mobility Program (GCUB-Mob), under Call for Applications No. 001/2026.
This stage, known as the Document Consistency Analysis, reviewed the documentation submitted by all applicants to confirm that it met the requirements and criteria outlined in the Call. It was a compliance check rather than an academic evaluation — simply verifying that each application file was complete and consistent enough to proceed.
Afghan Applicants Performance
Out of thousands of applicants worldwide, 13 candidates from Afghanistan successfully passed this stage and have advanced to the Second Phase. For regional context, Pakistan had 15 successful applicants, while no candidates from Iran, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, or Uzbekistan appeared on the published list. In total, approximately 1,065 applicants from all countries combined progressed past the Document Consistency Analysis.
