STIBET Scholarship at Anhalt University

Are you an international Bachelor’s or Master’s student at Anhalt University of Applied Sciences (Hochschule Anhalt) looking for financial support during the final stage of your studies? The STIBET Scholarship provides targeted funding to help you focus on completing your degree successfully.

Funded with the support of the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD), this scholarship offers practical financial relief so you can concentrate on your thesis or continue your valuable social and international engagement on campus.

What is the STIBET Scholarship?

The main objective of the STIBET Scholarship is to financially support qualified international students enrolled in Bachelor and Master programs at Anhalt University. The funding allows recipients to dedicate themselves fully to writing their final thesis and finishing their studies without unnecessary financial pressure.

There are two types of STIBET scholarships available:

  • Graduation Scholarship (Final Scholarship) – for students in the final phase of their degree who are about to submit their thesis.
  • Scholarship for Particularly Committed Students – for students who demonstrate strong social or international engagement (e.g., Buddy program, voluntary activities in an international context).

Scholarship Benefits

  • €400 per month for a period of 3 months
  • Total funding amount: €1,200
  • Support designed to ease financial stress during the critical final semester

Who Can Apply?

The scholarship is open to international students (non-German nationality) who are enrolled in Bachelor’s or Master’s degree programs at Anhalt University of Applied Sciences.

Key requirements include:

  • Full-time enrollment at Anhalt University
  • Good to very good academic performance
  • For the Graduation Scholarship: expected submission of the final thesis within a maximum of one semester and residence in Germany during the thesis phase
  • For the Social Commitment Scholarship: enrollment for at least one semester and proven voluntary engagement in international or social activities

Application Deadline

  • Next submission deadline: 15 April 2027
  • Late applications cannot be considered.

Required Documents

Applicants must submit the following (via the online application form):

  • Motivation letter (max. 1,800 characters / one A4 page)
  • Academic transcript / performance overview (HIS-QIS extract)
  • Curriculum Vitae (CV)
  • Timetable for the completion of the degree or official proof of international/social commitment (not self-issued)
  • Reference letter from a professor (sent directly by the professor to stibet.scholarship@hs-anhalt.de)
