Eligibility Criteria
- Academic requirement: High school diploma and transcript for undergraduate applicants; bachelor’s degree and transcript for master’s applicants; master’s degree and transcript for doctoral applicants
- Language requirement:
- Accepted tests: IELTS, TOEFL, Duolingo, TOEIC
- Undergraduate applicants need a minimum CEFR B1 level
- Master’s and doctoral applicants need a minimum CEFR B2 level
- Waiver: Available to applicants from English-speaking countries or those who completed prior studies entirely in English. A statement letter from the relevant authority proves eligibility for this waiver.
- Language of instruction: English or Indonesian, depending on the program
- Other required documents: Valid passport, bank statement covering at least 3 months, motivation letter
- For master’s and doctoral applicants only: Recommendation letter and a brief research proposal
- Ongoing condition: UMY reviews academic performance every semester, and recipients must maintain their GPA to keep the scholarship
