Eligibility Criteria

To qualify for the University of Saskatchewan Scholarships 2026, applicants must meet the following general requirements:

  • Must not hold Canadian citizenship or permanent residency

  • Must meet the academic and admission requirements of the chosen program

  • For Bachelor’s applicants:

    • Must be a current high school student (or recent graduate) with little or no post-secondary education

  • For International Baccalaureate (IB) Awards:

    • Must have completed the IB Diploma Program

  • For Ph.D. applicants:

    • Must hold a Master’s degree (or equivalent) from a recognized institution

    • Must have achieved a minimum cumulative GPA of 80%

    • Must have applied for a Ph.D. program at USask and obtained an NSID (student ID) after paying the application fee

    • Must have completed a doctoral graduate program (at USask or another institution) no more than 24 months before nomination

    • Must meet the university’s specific scholarship and admission requirements

  • Applicants already holding a full scholarship or enrolled in another Ph.D. program in Canada are not eligible
