Organized by the Joint Institute for Nuclear Research (JINR), this six- to eight-week winter program allows students to work alongside top international scientists and engineers in Dubna, Russia — and it’s completely funded.

Host Institute: Joint Institute for Nuclear Research (JINR), Dubna, Russia
Program Name: START (ex-Summer Student Programme)
Duration: 6–8 weeks (February – June 2026)

Eligibility Criteria

To apply for the JINR START Winter Program 2026, candidates must:

Be a 4th–5th year undergraduate, Master’s, or 1st year PhD student.

Not have previously participated in the JINR START (or Summer Student) Program.
Demonstrate strong interest and potential in scientific research.
