The Toshiba International Foundation is offering scholarships for international students to pursue undergraduate or graduate studies at universities in Japan for the 2024-2025 academic year. Eligibility Criteria

• Be a citizen of a country other than Japan
• Have excellent academic records and demonstrated leadership abilities
• Proficiency in the Japanese language or a commitment to learning Japanese
• Plan to enroll in an undergraduate or graduate degree program at a university in Japan
• Not have previously studied in Japan for more than two years
• Must be a part of Non-profit organizations
• Must have a bank account in their official registered name to receive grant funds.
• Projects Align with TIFO’s objectives / specified project categories.
• Deepen understanding of Japan, and also particularly overseas.
• Application Period : October 1 to November 30, 2024 (Japan)

Application Procedure

we strongly encourage applicants to submit their applications good before the deadline. Due to the anticipated high volume of submissions in late November,  also we may experience delays in responding to inquiries..

Grant Calendar

• Review the program guidelines and eligibility requirements on the Toshiba International Foundation website.
• Gather all required documents and prepare the application materials.
• Submit the completed application package by the deadline of October 1 – November 30
• Shortlisted candidates may be invited for an interview in February 2025
• Final selection, Board of Trustees and award notification will be made by March 2025.
• Submission of Letter of Agreement, Project Implementation(April 2025 – March 2026) and Project Plan: April 2025 And also submission of Project Report- After project completion.
