Job Description
The academic staff will be responsible for delivering high-quality instruction, preparing lecture notes, and contributing to the academic and research development of their respective departments. Main duties include:
- Preparing and delivering lectures, assignments, and examination materials.
- Maintaining daily lesson plans based on course outlines.
- Conducting exams, grading, and submitting student performance reports.
- Assisting departmental and faculty administration in quality improvement.
- Participating actively in departmental meetings and academic councils.
- Engaging in research, publishing papers, and developing academic resources.
- Contributing to textbook writing and resource compilation.
- Adhering to Rana University’s academic and ethical guidelines.
Eligibility Criteria
1. For Assistant Lecturer (Nominee for Pohanyar Rank):
- Bachelor’s degree from a public university or an accredited private institution.
- Equivalency certificate from MoHE required for foreign graduates.
- Minimum 75% overall marks; no more than two academic failures.
- Age not exceeding 35 years at the time of application.
- No concurrent employment in other institutions.
2. For Lecturer (Pohanyar Rank):
- Master’s degree with a thesis (from a recognized local or international institution).
- Minimum 80% marks in Master’s studies; no more than one academic failure.
- Academic discipline must align at least 60% with the announced position.
- Age not exceeding 45 years.
- No concurrent employment in government or private institutions.
