Job Description (Duties & Responsibilities)
- Working under the supervision of the project manager
- Considering all policy and procedures of CAFCDO during the project
- Ensure the health center is open and clients are receiving services
- Assisting the medical doctor in medical examination of the patients in the center
- Taking mandatory PSEA training and Code of Conduct and ensure its consideration during all times in duty
- Responsible to achieve the provided targets for the center in terms of quantity and quality of services
- Providing weekly report to the project manager about the number of women and girls as well as children that received services in the center
- Assist other staff of the center such as midwife, medical doctor, and caretaker when needed
- Responsible for keeping record of all patients in the nursing center using a standard registration
- Responsible for storing and dispensing of medical supplies at the nursing center
- Provision of health and hygiene information sessions on daily basis to the clients at the center
- Participate in any consulting cases with the women and girls inside the center whenever needed
- Referral of patients who need more comprehensive services to other health centers
- Ensure that nursing departments of the center are functional and providing services to clients
- Providing nursing services for the women and children at the center
- Conducing weighing sessions of the women and children
- Screening of all patients for the blood pressure, taking history, doing injection procedures, and performing dressing procedures,
- Participating in weekly meetings at the center and update the nursing services to the project manager
- Making monthly request of necessary medical supplies list for the center and submit to the female doctor to compile for the health center level
- Being committed to good behavior with the clients and make sure the clients are satisfied from the services
- Participate and facilitate the monitoring of main office monitors from the health center services and being able to prepare action plan to address the weak points reported by the monitors
Job Requirements:
- Graduated from Nursing\Midwife in a recognized university accepted by Ministry of Higher Education of Afghanistan.
- 3 years’ work experience (as Nurse\ Midwife in the health)
- Essential necessary skill (word, excel and internet)
- Commitment to CAFCDO principles.
- Comply with all relevant CAFCDO policies and procedures.
- Able to listen well, accurately communicate ideas, and to work well in a team.
- Work enthusiastically and with patient.
- Fluency in spoken and written Dari and Pashtu is a requirement. English Language skills is a plus point.
- Excellent skills of problem solving and decision making
- Strong communication skills
- Patient counselling and advice.
