Opportunities
The Humboldt Research Fellowship is available for postdoctoral researchers from all nationalities and research fields, offering the opportunity to conduct research in Germany.
Key Details:
To apply, candidates must submit the following documents online:
- Curriculum Vitae (maximum 2 pages)
- Research Outline (maximum 5 pages)
- Complete list of publications
- List of selected key publications
- Doctoral certificate or confirmation of completion within the next 6 months
- German language certificate (if required)
- Publisher’s acceptance notifications (if applicable)
Additionally, the host’s statement confirming research facilities and two expert reviews must be uploaded by the host and reviewers.
Deadlines
- The selection committee meets in March, July, and November.
- Applications are typically processed within 4 to 8 months, though incomplete applications may take longer.
- After submission, you will receive confirmation of your application and the expected selection date.
How To Apply
If your application is rejected, you may request feedback. If your application is unanimously rejected, you must wait at least 18 months before reapplying. Both you and your host will receive the outcome of the application approximately 5 weeks after the decision.
