About GCUB – What is the International Mobility Program?

What Does the GCUB Scholarship Cover?
Selected candidates will receive a comprehensive funding package, which includes:
- Full exemption from tuition fees
- No enrollment or academic service fees
- Monthly stipend for living expenses
- Free access to university libraries, laboratories, restaurants, and academic services
- No application fee required
Note: The scholarship does not cover airfare, visa fees, or health insurance.
Degree Duration
- Master’s Program: 24 months (2 years)
- PhD Program: 48 months (4 years)
Fields of Study
A wide variety of Master’s and Doctoral programs are available across multiple disciplines, offered by 58 Brazilian Higher Education Institutions (HEIs). Candidates may select up to five programs across different universities when applying.
Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible, applicants must:
- Be a non-Brazilian citizen
- Hold a Bachelor’s degree (for Master’s applicants) or Master’s degree (for PhD applicants)
- Submit applications in English, Portuguese, Spanish, or French
- Choose up to 5 programs from different universities
- Submit complete documentation as required
Required Documents
Make sure to prepare and upload the following documents:
- A valid Identification Document (passport or national ID)
- Curriculum Vitae (CV)
- Bachelor’s diploma or certificate of completion (for Master’s applicants)
- Master’s diploma (required for PhD applicants)
- Two essays:
- Essays contents:
Essay 1: Academic expectations and interests; professional
expectations and perspectives for returning to the country of origin
(maximum 1,000 words).
Essay 2: Research proposal containing a maximum of 4,000 words,
covering the following topics:
● Central theme and research problem;
● Delimitation and justification;
● Objectives;
● Literature review;
● Methodological process;
● Timeline;
● Bibliographical references.

- Proof of university employment contract (only for professors applying via institutional agreements)
