What are Persian Gulf Scholarships?

Persian Gulf scholarships are funded programs that provide financial support to students pursuing various degrees in Iran. These scholarships are typically sponsored by prominent organizations, government bodies, and educational institutions within the Persian Gulf region. They aim to foster educational exchanges and enhance cultural understanding between Iran and the Gulf countries.

Who is eligible for Persian Gulf Scholarships?

Persian Gulf scholarships cater to students at different levels of education, including undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral programs. The eligibility criteria may vary depending on the specific scholarship, but commonly, applicants must demonstrate academic excellence, leadership potential, and a genuine interest in Iranian culture and society. Some scholarships may have specific requirements based on the field of study or nationality.

Requirements:

  • Applicants must not hold citizenship of the Islamic Republic from Iran. And also There must not be any legal prohibitions for continuing studies or staying in Iran. The end of requirements; must provide a valid certificate of physical and mental health& approved by political& consular offices of the Islamic Republic from Iran in the student’s home country/accredited medical centers of the university.

Requirement documents:

  1. Completion of the registration form in Word format (available for download)
  2. Scan of the personal photos
  3. Scan of the recent degree certificates
  4. Scan of the passport (valid for a minimum of 8 months)
  5. Saorg interception documentations
  6. Scan of transcripts from the last academic years

Specific Requirement:

  • Applicants must possess a minimum certificate equivalent to completing one of the standard educational courses in Iran, such as high school (12 years of formal education), bachelor’s, and master’s degrees, respectively, for entry into bachelor’s, master’s, and doctoral programs.
  • If the applicant completed their previous education outside Iran, they must submit all educational certificates and transcripts to the Iranian Embassy for approval.
  • Initial admission to master’s & doctoral programs is subject to approval by the relevant council.

For Afghan students:

  • Applicants for postdoctoral research courses are accepted based on relevant regulations /the university’s available fields.
  • Certificates from Afghanistan require approval from the Ministry of Education of Afghanistan and the Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Kabul…
  • The necessity and timing of obtaining a Persian language teaching certificate for university -applicants are subject to regulations announced by the Ministry of Science.

  • a) Tuition Fee Coverage: Most scholarships cover tuition fees partially or in full, relieving students from the financial burden of studying in Iran.  70% coverage of tuition fees and Full coverage of tuition, accommodation, and food expenses
  • b) Stipend and Living Allowance: Many scholarships provide a monthly stipend or living allowance to support students’ accommodation, meals, and other living expenses.
  • c) Health Insurance: Persian Gulf scholarships often include comprehensive health insurance coverage, ensuring students’ well-being during their stay in Iran.
  • d) Travel Expenses: Some scholarships offer travel grants or reimbursements for students’ travel expenses to and from Iran.

  • Admitted students must complete academic residence-related tasks promptly.
  • Study visa issuance &collection process through the university’s consular affairs departments.
