Opportunity Description
The ETH Student Summer Research Fellowship (SSRF) is a summer research hosted by the Department of Computer Science at ETH Zurich, designed for undergraduate and graduate students in the worldwide. This two-month programme provides real research experience in cutting-edge computer science topics, mentorship, and exposure to Swiss academic life.
During the fellowship, participants conduct research within ETH research groups in their chosen areas, collaborate with faculty and lab members, and engage in networking and social events.

Scholarship Benefits

Eligibility Criteria
For apply of the ETH SSRF candidates, must looking these following criteria:
- Be enrolled in the Bachelor’s or Master’s programme in:
- Computer Science,
- Electrical Engineering,
- Mathematics, Physics, or a closely related field.
- Have an expected graduation date in the summer fellowship
- Completed at least two years of university study by the beginning of the fellowship.
- Be available for the full two-month duration (1 July – end of August).
- Have good working knowledge of English
Required Documents
For Required Documents to submit following these steps:
- Curriculum Vitae (CV): in English, preferably in the Europass format.
- Academic transcripts: official transcripts from your university must be:( English, German, French, or Italian, and with officially translated) (if available)
- Motivation Letter / Personal Statement: max one page in English; explain why you chose your research area, what you hope to achieve, and how ETH fits your goals.
- No password-protected PDFs: documents must be accessible.
Application Procedure
- Research: Explore ETH’s computer science groups and research topics. Choose one or two preferred research areas.
- Apply via SiROP: Use the SiROP online portal to submit your application.
- Complete Application Form: Fill in personal data, select your research areas, and upload required documents (CV, transcripts, motivation letter).
- Evaluation: Applications are evaluated, and shortlisted candidates may be invited for an interview.
- Decision Notification: Selected applicants will be informed by email, usually by February.
