Job Description

The role aims to ensure accurate, fluent, and professional translation of all BMA’s official documents—including policies, procedures, plans, regulations, and correspondence—from English to Dari. The translator will help departments understand and correctly implement official documents by providing clear and high-quality translations.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • Translate all official bank documents (policies, plans, regulations, procedures, correspondence) from English to Dari.

  • Ensure correctness of concepts, accuracy in terminology, and preservation of the bank’s formal tone.

  • Review and edit translated materials to maintain consistency, clarity, and error-free content.

  • Coordinate closely with departments to fully understand the content before translation.

  • Provide verbal interpretation during workshops, meetings, and official sessions when needed.

  • Organize and maintain both digital and printed records of all translated documents.

  • Ensure complete confidentiality and integrity in handling official bank documents.

  • Prepare regular reports on translation progress and submit them to relevant departments.

  • Perform additional translation-related duties assigned by management.

Eligibility Criteria

Applicants must meet the following qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Pashto/Dari/English Literature, Translation, or related fields.

  • Full proficiency in English and Dari (reading, writing, and speaking).
