Job Summary:
Must have a working knowledge of Network and Security appliances. He /She should be familiar with the Core Network of Telecommunications and IP Networks.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Responsible for configuration, deployment, and administration of LAN/WLAN/WAN devices.
- Participate in planning, designing, installing, and configuring Cisco, Huawei, and Juniper networks in the core, distribution, and access layers.
- Ensure that data communication within the company is reliable and has sufficient capacity available to meet business needs.
- Routing Protocol BGP, ISIS, and OSPF management, experience in MPLS network and routing policy implementation.
- Provide regular periodic reports on network performance, both in general and against specific service levels.
- Coordinate the planning security policy, maintain its equipment, and trace & troubleshoot cases.
- Monitor bandwidth use, analyzes traffic patterns and volumes, and determine impact /implications.
- Provide remote access to the corporate network via dial-up or virtual private network (VPN) as required.
- Monitor and review IP network configuration issues and make appropriate recommendations.
- Analyze network needs and evaluate vendor recommendations and adaptability with company needs; provide
- support on comprehensive network design specifications for additions and upgrades of backbone infrastructure.
- Prepare plans for Wi-Fi radio frequency and Wi-Fi equipment installation to cover the area according to the need of the business.
- Provide support to implement & maintain hardware and software standards of backbone network elements and Wi-Fi equipment with regard to planning, expansion, and growth of the network.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or information Technology. (Master’s degree will be preferred.)
- Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar field.
- Solid understanding of IP network and elements.
- Ability to cooperate with 3rd party support in case required.
- Ability to work under pressure.
- Strong understanding of Switched networks and technology including VLANs, Trunk, STP, PVST, and ether channel.
- Support and maintain hardware and software infrastructure, including routers, switches, Access Points, Wi-Fi controllers, and firewalls.
- Good knowledge of RF signals, noise and interference mechanisms, and radio propagation.
