About the Eiffel Scholarship
Launched by the French Ministry of Europe and Foreign Affairs, the France Excellence Eiffel Scholarship is designed to attract top international talent and future global leaders. It supports high-achieving students in both the public and private sectors, helping them build academic and professional futures in France.
Eligibility Criteria
Master’s Level
- Must be an international student born after March 31, 1998.
- Eligible study fields:
- Science & Technology: Biology, Health, Environmental Sciences, Mathematics, Engineering, and Digital Technologies.
- Humanities & Social Sciences: Law, Political Science, French Culture & Civilization, History, Economics, and Management.
- Must apply from outside France (students currently studying in France are ineligible).
- Only first-time applicants from one institution are accepted.
- Cannot combine this scholarship with other French government-funded scholarships.
PhD Level
- Must be an international PhD student born after March 31, 1993.
- Fields of study are the same as for the Master’s level.
- Only first-time applicants from one institution are eligible.
- Students currently enrolled in France are eligible, but those studying abroad are prioritized.

Scholarship Duration
Master’s Degree
- 12 months for 2nd-year (M2) students.
- 24 months for full Master’s programs (M1).
- Up to 36 months for Engineering programs (depending on year of entry).
PhD Programs
- 36 months for full PhD programs (only for new students starting in France).
- 12 or 18 months for PhD students under cotutelle or co-supervision, depending on the current academic year.
Scholarship Benefits
While the exact amount may vary, recipients of the Eiffel scholarship receive a monthly stipend, international travel coverage, health insurance, housing assistance, and access to cultural activities.

Priority Regions for Master’s Applicants (Paris-Saclay University)
Preference is given to students from the following regions:
- Asia-Oceania: Afghanistan, China, India, Japan, South Korea, Vietnam, etc.
- Europe: Especially EUGLOH Alliance members, Georgia, Ukraine.
- North America: United States, Canada.
- Latin America: Brazil, Mexico, Colombia, etc.
- Africa & MENA: Algeria, Morocco, Egypt, Tunisia, Kenya, Nigeria, etc.
Required Documents
All documents must be in French or English, and grouped into single PDF files per category.
Master’s Level:
- Passport or national ID
- CV (1–2 pages)
- Academic transcripts
- Degrees and diplomas
- Proof of academic excellence (optional)
- Proof of language proficiency (if applicable)
- Motivation letter / professional project (1–2 pages)
- Up to 3 recommendation letters
PhD Level:
- Cotutelle agreement (for 12/18-month scholarships)
- Funding plan (for 12/18-month scholarships)
- CV (1–2 pages)
- Academic transcripts (last 3 years)
- Motivation letter & professional project
- Proof of language proficiency
- Research project description (1–5 pages)
- Supervisor evaluation (Paris-Saclay + host lab + doctoral school)
- External scientific evaluation from a full professor
- Resume of the evaluating professor (max 2 pages)

How to Apply?
Key Dates:
- October 1, 2025: Application opens.
- November 9, 2025: Internal deadline for Paris-Saclay University.
- December 2025: Results notification by university.
- April 2026: Final results published by Campus France.
Application Process:
- Fill out the online form (link available from Oct 1, 2025).
- Choose only one program from Paris-Saclay University.
- Apply to the selected Master’s or PhD program through the official university channels, even if nominated for Eiffel.
