What is the GED?
The GED (General Educational Development) is a globally recognized high school equivalency credential. It demonstrates that you have the knowledge and skills equivalent to a traditional high school diploma.
The GED consists of four subjects:
- Reasoning Through Language Arts (RLA)
- Mathematical Reasoning
- Science
- Social Studies
Passing all four tests can open pathways to higher education, scholarships, vocational training, and better career opportunities.

Meet Your Instructor: Neda Safdari
Neda Safdari is an official GED graduate (August 5, 2026) with two almost College Ready scores and two College Ready + Credit scores. She spent nearly two years preparing for the GED and experienced both offline and online classes with dedicated teachers. During her preparation, she faced a major challenge: although her tutors were committed, none of them had personally taken the official GED exam. This often forced her to prioritize the quantity of studying over the quality of preparation, making her journey longer than necessary.
She strongly believes that the best guidance comes from someone who has personally walked the path. This experience inspired her to establish the Free GED Preparation Program after her graduation.
Since the GED is still relatively new in Afghanistan, very few people can properly guide students through the exam. Following the Taliban’s takeover, many girls have also been denied access to high school education, making the GED an important alternative pathway to higher education.
Due to growing demand from friends, fellow citizens, and students from rural areas — many of whom live far from preparation centers or cannot afford course fees — Neda decided to support others by providing effective guidance, appropriate study materials, and the encouragement needed to prepare with confidence.
