Job Description

Program Overview

This scholarship program is designed to empower academically talented female students from Afghanistan, prioritizing access to quality education in Canada. It targets young women aged 16–18 who demonstrate leadership potential and a commitment to overcoming barriers to education. The initiative aligns with global efforts to promote gender equity in education and foster cross-cultural academic exchange

Eligibility Criteria

Applicants must strictly meet the following conditions:

  • Gender: Exclusively female.
  • Nationality and Residence: Afghan citizenship and current residency in Afghanistan.
  • Language Proficiency: Basic English comprehension (certification optional but advantageous).
  • Age Range: 16–18 years old as of 3 February 2025.

Required Documentation

Submit the following documents to info@womenleaders.ca by the 3 February 2025 deadline:

  • Academic Records:
  • Official transcripts or grade reports (translated into English if necessary).
  • Copies of a valid passport or national ID (Tazkira).
  • Supplementary Materials:
  • Certificates, diplomas, or awards (if applicable).
  • English language test scores (e.g., IELTS, TOEFL, or equivalent).
  • Statement of Purpose:
  • A 500-word essay addressing “Why Canada is my preferred destination for further education.”
  • Necessary Documents 

Selection Process

  • Initial Screening: Verification of eligibility requirements.
  • Qualitative Assessment: Evaluation of academic merit, leadership potential, and the clarity of the candidate’s educational goals.
  • Final Notification: Only shortlisted candidates will receive an official email from info@womenleaders.ca
